Opinions on the pricing of new BoH deeds

Post by Gaara »

Just curious on what the shard thinks. Currently, the prices are as follows:

Code: Select all

150 ED +5 items to BoH
250 ED +10 items to BoH
400 ED Combine BoH
From what i understand, these prices are based on auction data. Looking over past auctions (+Nyx's grand auction data from 2013-2016) the +5 items deed has never been sold but the +10 items to BoH and combine deeds went for the following prices:

Code: Select all

Combine BoHs:
average	20.728 million
lowest	10.08 million
highest	30.5 million

10 recorded sales based on the auction spreadsheet.

+10 items to BoH:
average 16.958 million
lowest	10.2 million
highest	39 million

11 recorded sales based on the auction spreadsheet.
Based on the current Exex prices of 1 ED = 54k gold, on average the Combine BoH deed went for ~384 EDs (or ~415 EDs @50k gold per which was the norm back then) and the +10 items to BoH for ~314 EDs (~339 EDs @50k gold per).

Personally. I feel like the price could be a bit lower in the ED room. Based off auction data alone the pricing is fair but an auction item will naturally have an inflated price.

Thoughts? :P

I think the ED prices are fine - what i'd like to see is an option to purchase them with tokens in Trinsic like you can do with an item bless deed. The use for tokens is a bit lacking and would love to see them being used for something else.

150ED +5
250 ED +10
400ED Combine

4.125 million tokens for +5 deed
6.875 million tokens for +10 deed
11 million tokens for HBOH combine deed

Just an idea...

Not a bad idea at all, seeing as current auctions don't use tokens as a currency anymore, the only "big buy" you have with tokens are housing stuff and item bless deeds.

I think the 400 ED to combine bags is way overpriced. Just to combine two bags into 1? So you dont really get a lot of benefit that i see for 400 ED.

The cost to combine should be a lot lower, but that is my opinion of course.

Just for clarity:

It's 600ED for a 40-item bag of holding
It's 1000ED for every additional 40 items in the bag of holding whether you do it with +10 item deeds or combine deeds. So the item count over 40 is 60% more expensive than the first 40 items.

While I understand this is supposed to be a gold sink for those with too much money, I was really hoping the combine thingy would be more in the 200 ED range, maaaaybe 300 ED. 400 ED doesn't work for me, I'd rather spend 200 ED more to get another bag.

This game is like an inverse pyramid. An item may cost a certain amount and another item that's slightly better will cost much more.

Just look at the pricing difference between an SoP, BC, TH, and ATH.

SoP no STR bonus = Almost nothing.

BC 10 STR bonus = 200ED

Titan Hammer 15 STR bonus = 2,500-3,000ED

Ancient Titan Hammer 20 STR bonus = 7,000-8,000ED

So it's only normal for a combine deed to make a HBOH hold 80 items instead of 40 cost more than 2 regular HBOH.

Just because something is priced bonkers, doesn't mean the rest needs to be :P

Combining the deeds/adding more items to a HBOH is a great QOL niche feature but i know i won't pay this much for that. I've already paid enough for 2 HBOHs, no way i'll pay almost the same amount (or more if i just want more items to an existing HBOH) for more items.

As a razor user having no real auto looter fixed by having the HBOH and the trash bag by using [claim all and 2 sorts (all trash things get auto sorted to trash bag, all things you want [gold, oints, regents, arrows, ore, log, essences, bandages, etc.] get sorted to the HBOH. I OFTEN fill up my HBOH and have to head back to dump gold, ore, oints, etc. (I never dump regents, just let them sit in the lower-left corner of HBOH until its time to make kegs) I really wish there was add +5 items to an HBOH deed on the ED or token stone. Just having two bags doesn't work for me as I would have to have a 3rd sort (I use a blessing bag for my tool houses, keys not common use spellbooks etc). 100 ed per +5 deed would be pretty steep price wise but, I would probably buy at least two just for the quality of life improvements.

Off-topic but I REALLY wish the trash bag had more than a 125 item limit OR it had an empty/clear now option, I spend a lot of time sitting there waiting for the 125 trash items to delete so I can start fighting again and keep adding trash loot to the bag.

Also, there is no way to get around the 600ms item delay, right? That's not a razor thing that is a server-side thing...right? if I could sort more quickly it would make life so much better.

You're late to the party man. This thread is because +C just added +5 and +10 item bag of holding deeds in the ED room. 150 and 250 ED respectively.

Ok fine make it cheaper...i'm more focused on being able to use Tokens as well for payment. Seems like the price of tokens has really dropped the past 4-6 months and adding another use for them would help sustain their value around 2 gold each.

I think token price would be a good idea too. It does not mean it needs to cost my first born child :) but I agree more token usage would be great.

And don't forget I have a container appearance change deed on my TC vendor. So after you finish combining and upgrading all your bags use that to turn it into a chest or box or something with a nice gump!!

I had no idea these deeds existed. Since when?

I said a little over priced, but I think it's fairly reasonable. They are purely QoL upgrades for the uber wealthy. I likely won't bother upgrading or combining mine, if I find I come up short I'll buy another bag. Realistically there's only so much space in the visual gump, so having 80 items is not even necessarily better than 2 bags that hold 40 as you have more space to spread items out and see everything.
