Quest Hub
Repeatable, Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Quests
Basically quests to trade in ore or leather or ointments or other. This would give people something to do and new players something to sell and bring the value of resources up.
Another idea would be allow people to use logs, ore, metal, other to buy raffle tickets in trinsic.
Loot Boxes on a repeatable quest would be cool and a good way to bring the value of logs, ingots, and leather up as well as ointments and other stuff.
Alchemy Repeatable (Regs, Bulk Potion, and or Ointment turn in)
Random Reward
Elixir of Battle - + 100 str dex and int lasts 1 hr
C-4 immediately deals 2,500 damage to target
Revive Tonic - can use while dead to come back to life
Mana Tonic - fully restore mana
Health Tonic - Restore 300 HP
Mana Bomb - fully deplete opponents mana and shut down their mana regen
Hulk’s Juice - Increase base damage by 20 for 15 minutes
Random amount of gold that equals at least 2 gold per reg and 8 gold per bottle if doing potions also. Some base amount to give the resources value even if you don’t win the gambling addiction and only get a consolation reward. Will post more soon and feel free to contribute everyone! Maybe +C will like the idea and hook us up something else to do for funzies!!!
I also think if this ever becomes a thing then the quest hub should be in MZ to give those vendors more foot traffic, or maybe fel room before the portal with npcs that try to preach about the importance of sgail and fel wrong.
Idea to give resources value
Re: Idea to give resources value
there certainly isnt much to do with different coloured ores/leathers/wood outside of completing BOD's
id love to see some uses for other types
those gleam aura leggings take a big chunk of resources and its a tough quest to complete
id certainly like to see some easier low range stuff around the mistvale quality, or just after

Re: Idea to give resources value
Something that could annually boost the prices would be a seasonal quest for items. A dedicated quest giver to fill large bulks of all items. That should help clean the resources once a year. example: 5k random ore + 1000k of specific leather etc... All random with variable values. Repeatable every hour or so.
Would make a massive spike on commodities during the event and allow players to re-stock to repeat the quest. It would also be noob-friendly since they could have a nice participation without requiring any gear. Could have a nice gear set + deco + crafting items (similar to Xmas events) and a token to trade.
I believe open quest givers without event could fall into the bot-afk-exploit unfortunately so unless a seasonal event is really profitable I don't believe people will invest that much on gathering shadow ore or some lousy leather throughout a year.

Re: Idea to give resources value
For wood there is very easy but for some reason unacceptable way.
Rise price of arrows at vendors.
at present we have a dumping price , where wood for shaft at exex costs more than an arrow from vendor.
Unacceptable because bows are "easy" to script in battle recall scripts.

Re: Idea to give resources value
When I was in Mistvale, I noticed that the price of all the materials needed for the Blessed Item Deed quest would cost more on the markets than it would cost to just buy tokens and get one from the stone and suggested lowering the required items.
I think Colibri mentioned that he wanted to tie the current stock/prices to the quest values somehow, so that might be a way going forward once that system is in place. Basically set the quest requirements to be a specific value of the items from the board and have rewards doled out according to that value.
It would be a good way to stabilize the prices of resources around a certain price point since when the prices are rising to the desired level, the quest requires fewer of them, but if there's a glut of them in the market, the quest would need more of them and help to lower the overstock.

Re: Idea to give resources value
I believe this was one of the abandoned Elysium projects selling points. Sounded like materials would have much more value in that facet. Tailoring was one of the skills overhauled as a start to this project before the admins that were reducing the help request load left.

Re: Idea to give resources value
so how about a trade in system for a SMALL bod (could even make it bod of your choice if small)
x amount of leather gives tailor bod
x amount of ingots give a blacksmithing bod
x amount of wood gives a carp or bow crafting bod
could do it two ways
first
each different type gives different points x points gets rewards
so say plain leather gives 1 point ethereal gives 10 points
20000 points gives cloth bod
200000 points gives ethereal bod
500000 points gives small bod of your choice
second straight trades
could even go further and say type of material traded will just give out bod of that material.
so say 20000 ethereal(current exex price 1.4 million) will give you a small ethereal bod (max points for large 1150)
20000 spined(current exex price 160000) would give a spined bod (max points for large 700)
would keep a constant econ on resources as crafters will always be after the small bods for there large.
shouldn't drop price of high end rewards as the amount of trade ins would be about the same value as current high end rewards
