Hey everyone, I'm pretty excited here. I used to play UO way back when there was only a single facet (yeah the registration question threw me a bit). I loved it, except I just couldn't get around the PK part of it....it ruined everything, so I ended up moving to EverQuest when it came out.
But after all the games I have played, none of them can ever really compare to the great interaction you have in UO.
Then I ran across this concept of free shards with no PK'ing even possible and I was like Woohoo!
But...well it's been a heck of a long time since I played UO and I remember diddly squat, besides that I bet there have been tons of changes to the game. I am going to try and do some searching around to find out what may have changed, but anyone have any good sites they can point me to? Are there differences between this free shard and the standard online game? I did read the main page and understand the shard rules, but are there different skills? spells? etc.?

Yes there have been MANY changes since the single-facet days, some good sites for reference would be UOGuide and Stratics, but they won't have anything pertinent to the custom scripts this shard has to offer. For just about everything Excelsior, look in the Wiki.
