What an insanely awesome event that was. It took quite a bit of time to do, the second part that is, the 'younin' part was fairly quick but that's what made the next part even better. The stroll through the woods was exactly what was said, not the norm. Sickly harts, infested crows, enraged songbirds, the Riders were out in force too all leading up to the Dark Heart of the Wood, the source of the corruption plaguing the area. In a really intense fight, after many, many, many deaths, we were able to take it down. Good thing for 100gp corpse stones ..! With a really nice reward, we all went home with stories to tell over some ale or Fanta.

I wasn't able to take too many pictures but I uploaded some to the link below. Thank you for a great event +Veritas, way to make it fun, challenging, fun to read about, and on and on. Good stuff, can't wait to find out what the Keystone fragment leads to!

I have to agree. It was probably one of the best hunting events I have been on in UO. I am now too scared to get close to a bear though!

The bears were blue until attacked, and +Veritas did warn us beforehand that there would be extremely powerful beasts which were not initially hostile.
But so many people had hit-area-effect items or were casting area spells like Earthquake or Volcanic Eruption that it was inevitable the bears would aggro on someone.
