Hello all, I was just wonderin' has anyone managed to have Iris work or somethin' similar that provides 2,5D or 3D graphics?
Just curious, although I love the 2D client I would like the choice of having a second change of graphics. x.x

To my knowledge, UOEX only supports the 2d client; thus why they provide a prepackaged installation file free for download.

Have you actually tried installing the client and using it here? You'd need UOML; which I also believe is the client used in UOEX's package; but be sure to choose Iris' client directory when starting up Razor; leave everything else the same.

It's still under development as I'm sure you know, so there are quite a few bugs yet. In the event you do not have a link to their open source site, here ya go:

I'll give it a whirl later today or tomorrow and see what I come up with.

I gave it a go, and managed to log on and everythin', was totally happy, however... Happiness soon fade away, 'cos it seemed to stop comunicating with the server and it just froze... Which is a real shame, the 3d graphics would be an enormous boon to UO x.x

However, if anyone manages to get Iris up and runnin', that would be great! ^^

So it just locked up and nothing more?

Were any of the UI changes; the graphics in general; there? In other words, did it function properly before it froze?

Well, you can move a bit, but I noticed the debug console, it asks for resync constantly...
Also, eventually, sometimes an error is shown about server not allowing unencrypted clients...

Not familiar with hosting a server since I only played, and at the very least was GM on a server for some months, but never got to mess with the config files and such... So no idea what it might be x.x
