Question about pets

When giving the command All Kill to my pets they never come back to me unless i tell them too...I am a GM Tamer and got GM Animal Lore...Is this something with this game because i know in EA's Ultima Online they come back on their own..This is just something that has been on my mind for a week or two and if anyone can tell me whats going on that be great...Thanks guys!

Yes, they don't come back. You have to actually tell them to.

You can often use the guard command to have your pets follow you around, fighting anything that attacks you or them. This is the easy way to hunt with pets, but it's not appropriate in all situations, since you have little control over what your pets will fight.
