Stamina "cap" is 240. Every 30 points of stamina = .25 seconds off of your swing speed, capping at 2 seconds total.

If you have high stamina, the only need for SSI is if you are lazy and do not want to spam divine fury. At 240+ stam/60% SSI you will still shoot full speed until 40-50% stamina.
