Blaze of Death

Post by kaighn »

I was wondering what most people put their points into when leveling a blaze of death. Also do you relayer it at the end? And if so what to?

some people use its quick leveling as a relayer yes but most of the time its used as a weapon
in which case the only thing you throw on it is spellhits Id add lightning to 50 and from there just add more areas in but that's my personal taste

Kind of like the idea of keeping it as a weapon. Eventually one day i will save up enough gold to get a relayer deed and change it to a yumi, then months later one more relayer deed to make it one handed. All this of course depends on how long it will take to save, but until then i am enjoying the whirlwind ability :dance

Thanks for the input

with a blaze of death Id never make it a yumi.. it has one area effect.. making it sub optimal for a yumi which you want precision attacks..

Id use it as a halberd, which if you have lumberjacking is the highest damage whirlwind weapon base you can get, adding lightning to it means 2 spell hits at 50 and one aoe at 50.. if you add any combination of more area attacks either 1 more at 50 or 2 at 30, 4 at 15 etc.. it makes a very effective weapon for running up the candles at champs

My opinion:

1) you need to decide relayer or weapon, since both have very different stats you will need to add.

1a) relayer: add all character stats, sdi, rpd dont add any hits or leeches, keep points leftover unspent for future additions
1b) weapon: as yoda said, add a hit and maybe a leech or two, given that you can whirlwind you wont need to take them far above 25% to leech. I would also avoid adding dex (since youll max out dex eventually with relayers) and if possible strength and hp increase. If you plan on making it a champ weapon neither str or hp increase is necessary. Your better off increasing the hits or leeches. Another option is adding another area hit in addition to the fire area.

Dont make it a yumi or one handed, there are better looted weapons in the game! Not worth the ED.

wow, thanks for the input. Unfortunately i had already started putting points into dex, and lighting. Hmmmmmm I would really hate to scrap this weapon. At least i haven't spent too much time on it.

There is nothing wrong with adding dex and lightning to that wep right now. It will take you a while before you can afford to have multiple relayers, and in that time I am sure you will come across several more Blaze's to modify as previously suggested. Use your current blaze to help earn the gold for future relayers. I am sure added dex and strength now will be an extra benefit while working towards future goals
