WTB Cloak of Mist

So I read the rules on the wiki....

- You may not share quest items in any way, shape, or form. Doing so is an exploit and punishable by confiscation if items, removal of Mistvale access, and jail.

i even asked a mod if there is anything i can do and he told me to try and buy one(which is illegal i guess?)

Only after you wear it for the first time. Until then it's unbound and can be sold.

Hey buddy, my take on the 'don't share quest items', given that I have seen posts about selling the cloak, is that you are not allowed to share the drops that you must gather to complete a quest?

Of course I'd take that opinion with a pinch of salt til I had it confirmed or otherwise by a mod...

Other than that, what is it that you are trying to accomplish that is impossible without it? I'm a scrub newbie and I beat down balrons with just a single low stat mule (850hp and 125str). Granted it's a bit touch and go, healing my poor Spatula through that battle, and things have got much better now I have some max stat mules.

What is it you are fighting/kiting that leaves you feeling too weak? Remember man, the journey is supposed to be as enjoyable as the goal. Work your way up slowly and have fun as you go!

You are allowed to sell or purchase the bind-on-equip Mistvale items. Once they've been worn, they will say [Account Bound] and can no longer be traded.

The wiki portion referring to sharing quest items is in reference to items looted toward completing quests, such as the 'scrap of undead hide'. These items aren't to be shared or traded, and we've taken various steps to ensure that doesn't happen.

I just want to say if your approach is I must have this 1 item or I can't play the game, you're not going to last long here, cloak or not. The Mistvale Cloak, while powerful, isn't going to put you over the top for end game/vet status. It's a slog, and it is meant to be. If you could become uber powerful with little effort, what would be the point then? I've never donated for relayers and such, but I have many. It took me several years, which allowed me to explore content appropriate to my level. Was it boring and grindy at times? Sure, but it's also challenging and rewarding. This isn't necessarily the case once you get to vet status. Be carful what you wish for. Just some friendly advice...

hey i appreciate the replies so much.

the problem for me is i like trying to play mostly self found. I look at everyone elses gear and EVERYONE is wearing cloak of mist or glittering ice wrap... both those items arent possible for me to get :/ its either those two items or nothing. and having nothing sucks pretty bad

since nyx confirmed i can at least trade for one i would be interested in buying one i guess.
