Ninja Training
Ninja Training
So I started a 2nd chracter just for the heck of it and wanted to make it a ninja. I've managed to get her up to 87.5 and not am not getting any gains at all no matter what spell/skill I use. Besdies jewlery and the bow is there a way to make this character above 87.5?Any help would be great. Anyone accually have GM ninjitsu?
Re: Ninja Training
Legendary here - and I must say it is awesome! Focus Attack will give you some good gains, but Death Strike will get you all the way to 120 since you're already past 85. Make sure you have a valid target to use it on (like a good pet if you're guilded) and that you're well-fed for best skill gains.
Re: Ninja Training
120 as well, having 90% evade on mirror image is insanely useful (mainly for resource elementals).
Training the last points is exceptionally annoying because the Death Strike skill uses 30 mana a pop whether it lands or not, and for best gains you are going to be using it on every attack - so that's a tremendous mana drain. Note that if your attack misses it won't use mana, but Death Strike itself can fail to land even though the attack connects (you can see the error message). Also note that if you intend to fight actively while training with Death Strike, it deals half damage with a bow, and hell, even with a melee attack it's pretty weak considering the skill requirement and mana cost.
I would recommend training with as high a hit mana leech weapon as possible, as well as being in necromancy's Wraith Form and throwing on bits and bobs of mana regeneration gear (such as the mage armor Rune Beetle Carapace +3, the free Headband of Heartwood +4, etc.) to help out. Lower mana cost gear also helps, but bear in mind this is capped at 40% so it won't carry you all the way.
The "easier" option is:
If you have access to druid spells, the best way is to just keep the druid Trees active while training - then there's not much issue except the downtime of recasting that hideously slow spell when it fades. If you have access to trees you don't need to focus on leech or regen forms/gear at all.
