1 = 6
2 = 26
3 = 326
4 = 4326
5 = 54326

6 = 154326

Hehe that made it much simpler, its just a bump in the decimal place for the grains-to-grams conversion.

Blaze, aren't you also a scripter? :) != is also for "not equal"

Well, 6 is not 154326. But i could say you're kinda close.

Find X:

1 = 6
2 = 36
3 = 288
4 = 2592
5 = 41472
6 = X
I think it is 3,359,232

If you need/want my method just let me know. I have it written down on paper.

1 = 6
2 = 26
3 = 326
4 = 4326
5 = 54326
6 = X

Find X :mrgreen:
Man, you guys are slow.. he said find X... X is right next to the equal sign that is right next to the 6... man.. you make this so hard... LOL

Do I win?

Ok, so far no correct answers. Not 41472, not 654326, not 154326.

Reward is now 40ED. And i hope you won't want to lynch me after you find the answer lol. Well if no answer by tomorrow afternoon shard time, i'll add an extra hint.

If 1=6, and 6=x, doesn't x=1?

Oh man.. if it is then I'm totally smacking myself for overlooking that 1 = 6 is the only constant in all of these sequences. Also why +Coli said I was kinda close with my last answer.

Haha, yes Cestre got it right :) Congrats!
It's as simple as that. I know, i've been looking it as a series as well, but I think the formal way to write a series is a1, a2, a3.

It's something that's on the Harvard admission test.

New puzzle, this one worth 20ED in the start and if there won't be an answer by this evening shard time i'll increase it.

Which number am I thinking of?

I'm thinking of a number, this one number might be 1 or 2 or 3. (One of these numbers).
You want to know which number it is, but can only ask one question, to which I could reply with "Yes", "No", or "I don't know".
What question would you ask?

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Do NOT edit a post if there's already been another reply after your post. If you post a correct answer and i see that the post was edited (it's written at the bottom), I don't know if you just edited a grammar error or if you perhaps copied an answer from someone who posted a correct one, but posted after your (previously incorrect) answer.

There is a number in my head too, either 1.5 or 2.5... is your number higher than mine?

Blaze, congrats you got it.
Well a somewhat simpler solution would be to ask, "I'm also thinking of a number it's either 1 or 2. Is your number larger than mine?".
If the original number is 1, then the answer would be "No".
If the original number is 2, then the answer would be "I don't know."
If the original number is 3, then the answer would be "Yes".

Dutch, as for your solution, I'm sorry but it wouldn't work. If you asked if they're thinking of an odd number, they will say "yes" whether they have 1 or 3 in their mind. Now, if you're lucky they will say "no" and you will know it's 2. But if they say yes, you still don't exactly know if it's 1 or 3.

I hope to remember to post another one in the evening.

Question: Will you tell me the number you are thinking of? ;)

(this would have been my question, as there is no stipulation that it must be guessed, lol)

For fear of facing our mistakes.
So we call it judgment,
And watch our friends, our world, ourselves... go comatose, inside."
